Errol Wai-Ping grew up in Trinidad. He
studied science at the University of Toronto, but returned to
the University of the West Indies for his medical degree.
He graduated in 1982. He interned at Mount Sinai and the
Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He received additional
training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of
Saskatchewan before starting work in Ontario in 1992.
Errol Wai-Ping's office was located at 153 Perry Street in Whitby.
He formerly held privileges at the Ajax site of the
Rouge Valley Health System.
However, as a result of an investigation by that Hospital,
Errol Wai-Ping was forced to give up his practice at the Hospital
in the fall
On
November 16, 2002,
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario restricted
Errol Wai-Ping's license to practice as follows:

restricted to performing non-surgical office
assessments
of patients
-
may continue to practise only if and as long as he
permits
the College to monitor his accounts to the Ontario Health
Insurance Plan
and authorizes the College to obtain information from the
Ontario Health
Insurance Plan about his billings to the Plan to ensure
compliance with
restriction #1 set out above.
On November 18, 2003, the College's Discipline Committee
found Errol Wai-Ping incompetent.
The Discipline Committee
based their finding on an statement of facts which
Wai-Ping did not contest.
On March 11, 2004, the the College's Discipline Committee
revoked Errol Wai-Ping' license to practice.
