Harte
Paul Harte is the principal lawyer
in the firm.
He is a leading lawyer in the field of medical
malpractice. He
has appeared at all levels in the provincial courts
and has assisted injured victims and their families
across Canada.

Paul has been
involved in several high profile matters including the
Commission of Inquiry into the Blood Supply in Canada and the Wilson Hepatitis B Class Action
lawsuit which resulted in the largest medical malpractice
settlement in Canadian history. He was lead counsel
in the recently settled Errol Wai-Ping Litigation involving
225 women and was co-counsel in the Testaguzza Acupuncture
Class Action. He was also lead counsel in D.P.
v. Wagg, a
landmark Ontario Court of Appeal case on the admissibility of evidence in
civil lawsuits.
Paul is a regular speaker at legal conferences both in
Canada and the United States and
advocates for the
rights of injured victims of medical
mistake in the media including appearances on Disclosure, The Docket, Canada
Am, Newsworld, The National, CBC Morning, CFRB and CBC
radio. He has been profiled in the Canadian Bar
Associations' National magazine and was featured on the cover
of a recent issue of the Canadian Lawyer Magazine. He is also
actively involved in political lobbying for increased access to
justice for personal injury victims.
Paul is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario
Trial Lawyers Association and is past Chair of that
organization's Medical Malpractice Section. Paul is
also a
member of the Canadian Bar Association, the
Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, the American
Association for Justice, the Advocates Society, and the Medico-Legal Society of
Toronto.
Paul is also a member of the
University of Western Ontario's 1878 Society.
